On this unique week-long Zanzibar holiday you’ll cruise on your own privately chartered dhow between Stone Town, the Fumba Peninsula and Kizimkazi in southwest Zanzibar. First you’ll enjoy a couple of nights in the UNESCO World Heritage listed Stone Town – an eclectic fusion of African, Indian, Arabian and European influences, with numerous attractions to explore.

From Stone Town you will cruise and sail south to the pristine Fumba Peninsula, enjoying a day of snorkeling, swimming, and lazing off sandbanks and Indian Ocean desert isles. After a couple of days chilling at Fumba, you’ll experience a full-day private dhow voyage through the Menai Bay Conservation Area to Kizimkazi. With more opportunities for snorkeling and blissful unwinding, you’ll feel decidedly energized if you spot playful dolphins during your cruise!

Your final nights will be spent relaxing at Kizimkazi. This holiday is based on superior-style accommodation, staying at The Swahili House, Fumba Beach Lodge and Unguja Lodge

Itinenary

Day 1 AIRPORT / STONE TOWN
Arrive in Zanzibar , Greet and meet at Zanzibar airport by our representative then transfer to Stone Town for your overnight at Kholle House or similar
Day 2: STONE TOWN – Prison Island & Spice Tour
After taking our breakfast we drive to Zanzibar Stone Town to take our boat to Prison island. Earning its name as a former prison for slaves and a quarantine station for Zanzibar and the mainland, nowadays the island gives you the chance to escape for some peace and quiet. Once on the island, you have the opportunity to feed and pet the tortoises, if you have time you may also like to take a stroll through the forested interior where you will see a wide variety of birds, colorful peacocks, bats, and beautiful butterflies. Keep your eyes peeled too for the shy and elusive Duikers – an unusual tiny antelope species. It is fringed with a beautiful coral reef, ideal for snorkeling, and has a lovely white beach for sunbathing. This tour is a great way to see some history and wildlife, and also to see Stone Town from the sea as many old maritime legends would have done. As this is the half day trip after 2 or 3 hrs we will take our boat for a ride back Dinner and overnight at Kholle House or similar
Day 3 NUNGWI BEACH – Safari Blue Tour
After breakfast we drive to Fumba beach for safari blue tour. This is a full day trip on locally constructed sailing dhows ,fitted with outboard motors, marine VHF radios, life jackets and other security requirements. The dhow anchors in a safe and shallow area to allow for snorkelling. High quality snorkelling material are provided, and a large range of sizes is available. Lunch is served on a sand bank or on one of the many uninhabited island in the region. A traditional dish of barbecued fish, rice, lentils and fish curry is serves. Chilled fruit juice, mineral water, and bottled soft drinks are available throughout the tour. After lunch, clients can sail on an outrigger canoe carved out of a single mango tree, snorkel and swim or just relax. Return to Fumba is by sail, wind permitting, and clients arrive back at their hotel at about 1730 hrs, Dinner and overnight at Double tree by Hilton
Day 4 NUNGWI BEACH
Have your breakfast at the hotel and spend full day free at leisure and optional excursions.Dinner and overnight at Double Tree by Hilton

Have your breakfast at the hotel then depart to Stone Tone Town for a morning town tour Afternoon transfer to Zanzibar airport for your flight back home
