This classic Tanzania safari package starts from Mwanza and concludes at Kilimanjaro International Airport, taking you through four of the most renowned national parks in the Northern Tanzania safari circuit. Start your day with an early breakfast before setting out for a full-day game drive in the central-eastern Serengeti. This region is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos, but is most famous for the vast migrating herds of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeests. Depart in the morning after breakfast around 7 a.m., with a packed lunch for a scenic game drive through the Serengeti as you make your way to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at a Maasai village along the way for a memorable cultural experience before descending into the crater for a game drive. Here, you’ll have the chance to spot the famed Big Five, including the elusive black rhino, along with a variety of other wildlife. After lunch, enjoy more game viewing as you ascend from the crater floor. Continue to Karatu, where you’ll check in to your accommodation for an evening of relaxation, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, set out for Lake Manyara National Park and enjoy a morning game drive until late afternoon. Manyara offers a wonderful introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife, with over 400 species recorded; even first-time visitors might spot around 100 in a single day. Beyond the floodplain, the acacia woodlands are home to the park’s famous tree-climbing lions and majestic, tusked elephants.
After a picnic lunch, continue your journey to Tarangire National Park, where you’ll have a late-afternoon game drive as you make your way to the lodge or camp. Following an evening of wildlife viewing, you’ll arrive at your booked accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
